A few weekends ago I had the privilege of photographing a sweet and wonderful wedding for Lindsey Gandy and Luke Hays. I met Lindsey at Texas Tech her freshman year…she is the cousin of one of my best friends from college and she also was involved with Campus Crusade for Christ while I was working on the staff team there. I love this girl and most of the bridal party were girls I had in bible study over the years so it was a sweet reunion. Lindsey has been in Moscow, Russia these last three years doing ministry and that’s where she met Luke! Luke is from Michigan but also has a deep love for Russia and has been over there teaching and ministering as well. I really enjoyed getting to know Luke and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to photograph their special day. Thank you to Sarah Holt for seconding shooting for me-It was fun to be with you and shoot with you again. You are so talented my friend. And thanks also to Jori Gandy for playing many roles that day including my assistant! You rock. Here are a few of my favorites…

One thing that was really unique about this wedding was that the locations for the wedding and the reception were the same as they were for Lindsey’s parents when they were married. On Lindsey’s bouquet she had a silk flower that was made from her mother’s veil that she wore during her wedding!

Ah the old…best man can’t find the ring trick! I have to say, it was pretty funny Lance:)

Luke and Lindsey had bells on the table to be rung as they were leaving…they were also rung to see the couple kiss-which Luke’s brother in law Dan did a lot!
All those who have lived in Russia or are currently living in Russia!
Probably one of my favorite pictures of all time…Red Raiders getting their guns up in front of Bevo (minus Laura McLemore-the lone Sooner)!
Bustin’ a move on the dance floor-Jori and Justin Gandy, cousins of the bride and some of my favorite people!

Ross + Dessie Wedding | Fort Worth, TX Wedding Photographer
A few weekends ago I got to photograph Ross and Dessie’s wedding and it was such a sweet time. Their wedding was small but it was so special and beautiful and I was thankful to be a part of it. Here are a few of my favorites:

When Ross prayed over Dessie after they lit the unity candle, it was such a sweet moment. I love this picture on the left here.

Ross and Dessie|Engagement Session|Fort Worth, Texas Photographer
Last weekend I had the awesome privilege of shooting Ross and Dessie’s engagement session. We got to explore many fun places to photograph including the Fort Worth Stockyards…which by the way, totally fits their style and you literally cannot take two steps without spotting another place to shoot. I had a lot of fun with these two and a VERY special thank you to my sweet husband Jeremy, who lugged my equipment all over Fort Worth! I look forward to photographing Ross and Dessie’s wedding in June. Here are a few of my faves!

I had to show the bling and the Tech pride! Ross and Dessie are both die hard Red Raiders and I love that about them.

Ross and Dessie’s first date was dancing at Billy Bob’s so it was only appropriate for us to go there and recreate the magic!
Thanks to the both of you for letting me capture your engagement…and I loved our Pappasito’s double date afterwards. We love you guys!
Mix Tape Monday: Surprising Ashley…Ashley+John Engaged!
Hey everyone! I am just coming back from a super fun weekend of not only shooting Ross and Dessie’s engagement session in Fort Worth on Friday (pictures to come soon so check back later in the week) but I am also returning from Oklahoma where we got to celebrate with my good friends John and Ashley who just got engaged! Not only that but I got to spend time with another sweet friend, Lisa Bollens who flew in for the surprise engagement party/surprise cheering on Ashley and John running the Oklahoma City Memorial Half Marathon. John did some major planning for the whole weekend and he had different people surprise Ashley along the half marathon route. It was such a sweet thing to be apart of. Then he had a surprise engagement party at Ashley’s parents house in El Reno afterwards. Congratulations John and Ashley!! I love you both. (Also, huge thanks to Mike and Martha for letting us stay at your house on Saturday night. We loved it and had so much fun. And a HUGE thank you to my friend Meredith who loved on our dogs while we were away)! Happy MIX TAPE MONDAY!
This is Lisa on the phone with Ashley pretending to be in Orlando…but actually driving to Oklahoma!

YEA! So fun:) We are super excited for you both. TEAM WOODRUFF!
Mix Tape Monday: Books

Hey everyone! This edition of Mix Tape Monday consists of a new book I am reading called, “The Crowning Glory of Calla Lily Ponder,” by Rebecca Wells. I have read this author’s previous books (Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Little Altars Everywhere, and Ya-Ya’s in Bloom) and loved them, so I thought I’d give this one a try. It’s about a girl who grows up in La Luna, Louisiana and I enjoy the descriptiveness of the Louisiana culture. It reminds me of my sweet friends, Lisa and Jeremy, who are from that great state. Their dog Phideaux was married to our dog Roscoe. I’m only in the third chapter, so I’ll have to keep you posted on how it goes, but I am enjoying reading just for the simple pleasure of reading:) Happy Monday!
